Lord have mercy on you auntie Sheila, you deserve the highest seat for your goodness and kindness down through the years ,you were brilliant in every way,,, sincere sympathy to doreen , betty,noel , joe , Jimmy, polly ,nieces ,nephews and extended family.

The time has come to say goodbye to one of life's most loving and caring people, who so many of us were blessed to have as an aunt. Sheila was always everybody's favourite auntie, she made it all look so easy. The door was always open, the kettle always on and either warm soda bread or fruit cake miraculously appeared on the table, like clockwork. When Abbie died young, Johnnie asked Jimmy and Sheila to step in should anything happen to him, before Gerry and I became of age. Thankfully, that situation did not arise, but we are in no doubt that Sheila would have taken to the task like a duck to water. One of her proudest moments was when we asked her if we could name our new house after The Grange, the old O'Neill homestead outside Newcastle. She could not have been more pleased that the name would live on, especially when it was across the road from her own house, where she spent so many happy years. For a woman small in stature, she had the biggest heart of anyone we have had the privilege to know and love. Sleep gently Sheila, may you rest in eternal peace.

We have lost a wonderful woman who touched all our lives with an incredible kindness and a loving generosity. My late mother once said to me "Anything you need, ask Sheila to pray for it and if it is for you, it will be granted." Uncle Jimmy well done. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.
