We are so sorry to hear of Sheila’s sudden passing. We have such happy memories of our visits to Wells in the summer where Sheila made sure we had a wonderful day out and had the best picnics ever! Sheila was so kind and had such a great sense of fun. We are thinking of you all at this very difficult time. May she rest in peace.

I was very saddened to learn of the death of Sheila. She was always so cheerful and friendly when we met, and was tickled that her son and I had the same name, albeit spelled differently, which was an added source of amusement to her. I was so sorry to hear of Sheila's sudden passing.
I have fond memories of first meeting Sheila in our Killarney Street Social Work office where she was a regular visitor, working closely with our colleague, the late Margaret Beaumont, to found and develop ParentLine. She was an innovative and dedicated Social Worker, who was also full of life, laughter and fun.

I was so deeply saddened to hear Sheila had passed away. Sheila was my mother Celine’s dearest and most loved best friend.
She has always been part of my life - I was
privileged to be the youngest guest at her
wedding at just 20 days old. I have the fondest memories of Sheila, always so full of life, fun, stories and songs. She taught me how to bake delicious Gibbies and I remember her chasing me around the trees in her garden. While I have not seen Sheila in many years, I had the privilage of travelling to Kenya with Sheila to deliver training in a remote village called Thigio. I remember that trip so clearly and how Sheila left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She was a woman who was full of compassion and love for those whom we had the honour to train. I was in awe of her.
She was joined later in the trip by Aidan and her children and I know she was so looking forward to seeing them and to share her experiences with them and have wonderful adventures with them.
I am very sad to hear of her passing. I send my love to Aidan her children, grandchildren and siblings.

We are saddened to hear of Sheila's sudden death and offer our sincere condolences to her family. We have known Sheila as a colleague in the Mater Hospital many years ago and when she worked in Swords.

I have known Sheila since 1975 when we both attended a family therapy workshop. Since then our paths have crossed over the years, working as social workers in the Eastern Health Board, and the Daughters Of Charity.
Sheila was an excellent social worker, always professional, skilled, and compassionate. She was dedicated to the children and families she worked with in the area of childcare,- Foster care and Adoption.
it was a privilege to know her and work with her.

Aidan, Killian, and Aideen, I’m not sure how to put into words how deeply saddened I am to hear about Sheila. Over the past few days, I’ve been thinking about all the memories we’ve shared over the years. When I think about Sheila, her laugh is always the first thing that comes to mind - how infectious it was and how it could light up a room. She was one in a million, full of endless kindness and it’s so clear how much her goodness has resonated with so many people. It was always such a joy to see her, and she will be hugely missed by us. Thinking of you all and sending so much love.
