My mother Maureen was a life long friend of Sheila’s, since their schooldays together in Clonmore and I have many fond memories of Sheila and Jim visiting us in Ballinakill when we were down with Emmet and our grandparents, on our summer holidays. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Great memories of Jim & Sheila visiting our parents, & we going down to Clonmore as children. How we loved the day out; the drive to Carlow ,Tullow & to Coolkenna cross seemed to last for hours; such a warm welcome at your home. Deep conversation with the adults- tracing back the Hughes /Tallon relations; then politics & farming.We played outside until Sheila called us to a fine tea - she was so generous & light hearted.
Her longevity of years was, in no uncertain way, a token of the love & care she was surrounded by from her family. Ye were so excellent to her, & she quietly revelled in the flow of callers, the chatter & news on your lives.
Sheila is united again with Jim in Gods house.Rest in peace.
