Simon was both a customer of my dad's butcher shop in Maybooth and lectured in my studies in economics in NUI Mayooth in 2005. He was such a polite, capable and gentle man. I was very very sorry to hear of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with all of Simon's loved ones at this time.

our hearts our broken, Simon was a close friend our family loved from being a young man before he went to university. we were proud to have him in our lives, he inspired many people, both of our sons are saddened by the death of one of the most beautiful human beings who brought inspiration and laughter into our family, our memories of him include his quest to run around the Arnold Palmer site faster than Sebbydog our family pet.. He had so many friends in his home town, RIP Simon you were loved by our family, our hearts are broken for Margaret and the three boys..

Simon taught my late husband, economics in Maynooth. They bonded over their love of Leeds United FC and Gerry always spoke so fondly of Simon. He was a true gentleman who gave of his time freely and helped his students achieve success.
He will be sadly missed, also, as a very friendly neighbour.
