Simon (Jap) Ainscough

Linda, Simon jnr, Niamh and Luke and all the Ainscough family. I can honestly say I have never met a kinder soul and gentleman as Simon. May he rest in eternal peace Linda and remember he will still be looking after you and the children from where he is now resting after the hard fight he put up to continue looking out for all his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Simon's passing. I met him a number of years ago when his firm were working on the house next door to me. We chatted for over two hours, and he said if he wasn't the boss he would be sacked! He told me about his cancer diagnosis and the impact on his life and that of his wife and children. He was so proud of Ainscaff and the contracts it had been awarded. We reminisced about his 21st, our Nana, May Ainscough, and the "Come on Eileen" song which had everyone on dance floor. Eileen always adored Simon and spoke so proudly about him, his gentle nature and about his sporting achievement. I lost count of the number of trophies he won brought to our Nana's to show her. Simon knew Eileen adored him and the feeling was mutual. May Simon rest in peace and may his wife and family find solace in the fact that he adored them all.

To Linda, Simon Jnr, Niamh, Luke, Barry and extended Family,

I was devastated to hear the news about Simon.

He was a true gentleman and the best boss I ever had. I will forever be grateful that he took a chance on me and gave me my start in scaffolding through Luke after i left school he took me on board straight away. I loved every minute of working alongside him, his sons, and his brother Barry.

I am so sorry that I cannot be there to pay my respects, as I am currently abroad at the moment, He got a beautiful send off. Thinking of you all today.
