Privileged to have Sinéad as a colleague and friend over the last 10 years. Such a beautiful person inside and out who had a positive impact on everyone she met. We are heartbroken since her loss. Rest in peace, beautiful Sinead. I was very lucky to work as a colleague of Sinead's for four years at Dominican College and am so saddened to learn of her passing. Sinead was, uniquely, both wise and mischievous; funny, thoughtful and kind. She was generous with her time to colleagues and students alike. The school has lost a wonderful teacher, far too soon. Sending love and prayers to Morgan, her two girls and her family.

I was so saddened to hear of the sudden loss of the lovely person I only knew as Ms. O'Reilly. She was my favourite teacher in Dominican College and I loved coming to her class. Caring, intelligent and smiley, she really inspired me and I have thought of her many times since leaving school, over 10 years ago now. My sincerest condolences to all her family and friends.

So heartbroken to learn about the death of Sinead
I always knew Sinead as “Smiley”, and no nickname was more appropriate for her. She had the most beautiful, sincere and infectious smile.
I met her many years ago, during my very first visit to Ireland and immediately loved her generous spirit.
It was so easy to be around her, she had this beautiful and rare gift of making you feel taken care of.
I have many vivid happy memories of times spent hanging out in the little house by the canal with her and other friends, coffees and songs in the kitchen, pints at o’briens, tales of tractors at the disco in Cavan, a very funny car trip with pepe the dog on my lap (I had re-baptised him “zio peppino” for the occasion).
I regret not having seen Sinead very often in the last few years, but the memory of her smile will always be with me.

Sincere condolences to Johnny Phyl and all the O’Reilly and butler families

Ms O’Reilly was my art teacher for 4th year. I never did art before that year and wasn’t the most gifted. Ms O’Reilly encouraged me every step of the way. Even though I only had her for the year, her energy was infectious and I’ll always have fond memories of art class in 4th year and listening to music.

My condolences to all her family, friends and everyone at DCGA. Her passing will be felt deeply by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. Rest in peace.

I’m heartbroken to hear of Ms O’Reilly’s passing. Art was my favourite subject in school and Ms O’Reilly was a wonderful teacher and person. I treasure the memories of the craic in her classes and evident love for art that she shared with us. I’ll be thinking of her (I can’t help but picture her beaming, a smile was her default) in all my future artistic endeavours, of which there will be many as she helped me towards the artistic career I’m pursuing. My heart goes out to her family as well as the students and teachers of Dominicans at this devastating time. May she rest in peace.

I just heard this evening about Sinead’s passing and I am so saddened, It is over 20 years since we were in Loreto together . I will always remember her cheery countenance and fabulous smile and her wonderful talent particularly her gymnastics. I have never forgotten my time there. I learnt so much from Sinead. She was so talented, supportive and was the calmness in my day. She inspired me and helped make me the teacher I am today.
