Siobhán Casey Ní Dhuibhinn

Uniquely beautiful & beautifully unique, Siobhán was a reason to look forward to work every day for the last four years. I wish I could have made the same difference to her that she did to me.

I have tried to describe Siobhán to friends who had not met her and I found myself at a loss for the words to do so, so I can't hope to do her any justice in a few short comments here. I was so fortunate to work with her throughout her years at Trinity and I will forever miss her more than I can say.

Not very long after she started working in the Academic Registry, but long enough for her to have worn outfits of all sorts of styles and from many eras of fashion, I started a conversation with her one day in the office by referring to her as ‘the style icon of AR’, and I was greeted with the sweetest smile and a thank you. She seemed to so genuinely appreciate the compliment and I will never forget that little moment between us.

I still can't believe she's gone but she will never be forgotten. She was precious and incomparable and there will never be another like her.

I was always struck by the almost parental pride in every mention of her siblings Saoirse and Seán, just another example of her sweet nature. I wish all of Siobhán's family well and I thank them for their part in making Siobhán who she was.

Siobhan was a force of light ,,, I was so lucky to share my life with her when she was in Chicago .
Her light will always be with me .
I never met her family but I know they gave her love because she gave love to everyone and a special heart that will always be felt by those who shared time with this very special woman.
