Siobhán passion for music and life was evident on first encounter, in Lorient 1984. As a family we have been fortunate to share many beautiful evenings of music and great company since then, with both Siobhán and Jens. May her soul be at rest.

Just played my favourite tune that she taught me, Seán sa Cheo, sitting here in my kitchen, and find I can remember all the variations she taught me like it was yesterday. Our simcere condolences to all Siobhan's family especially her husband. We have very fond memories of Siobhan teaching all the little prople (childre) in Greenore village the tin whistle. Siobhan carried the traditional music with her everywhere she went.

My husband James has very special memories of his childhoof summers with the arrival of the Kenndy clans for a summer of fun. Rest in peace beautiful soul.

We played together many times down through the years and one memorable trip to Geneva for St. Patrick's Day. I fondly remember her carrying on the work of her late father Rory and all the other stalwarts of Irish Music that made Dundalk such a special to visit down through the years. Sincere condolences to Jens, Áine, Nuala and Éamonn on Siobhán’s passing. I hold the fondest memories of the Kennedy family. While attending the RTC in the early ’90s. After a number of weeks in Dundalk I plucked up the courage to walk into Peadar McArdle’s for a session, fiddle in hand, and I was instantly welcomed by Rory, Siobhán and Éamonn. It soon became a weekly night out, full of tunes and laughs. Their warmth, generosity and kindness meant more to me than I can say, especially to a young lad far from home on the other side of the country. I’m sorry to hear about your sisters and Jens, your beloved’s passing. Siobhain was a cracker. Her fiddle, flute, dancing, voice were and are timeless. Not only that, she was a person who left me feeling-uplifted every time I saw her.

Siobhain was simply go hiontach (wonderful/ awesome). Cait nee Kennedy, (my mam & Siobhain’s auntie) enjoyed her singing, even more so when I told it was our cousin, Siobhain Kennedy (in ‘Iontach’’ with Jens & co in one of their online albums), when I played it for her one of the times I was home. It was a surprise of sheer delight for Cait.

May you find peace, solace amongst the tears and grief.
