I was so saddened to hear of Sister Hannah’s passing but I was glad to have been able to attend her requiem mass.
As a former pupil of Larmenier in the early 80s, I have very fond memories of my time at the school and although Sister Hannah was never my teacher I keep those memories dearly of all my teachers there and of Sister Louie Marie, the Head Teacher at the time, and Sister Hannah herself.
I do have one very fond memory of Sister Hannah particularly, but this was years after I left the school, when one Saturday while I was at my weekend job as a teenager, Sister Hannah came into the shop I was working in. I recognised her straight away but I was too shy to say anything at first. Sister Hannah recognised me too, explaining she remembered me and did so because of remembering my eyes.
I was so taken back by this - after all who knows the countless number of children she had seen in her time as teacher and headteacher!
I was of course so pleased she did recognise me as I believe she was of me too.
I truly believe Sister Hannah, remembered us all because of the care and love she gave to all the children and the wider school community.
I have been fortunate enough to ensure that my children too have been able to attend Larmenier and Sacred Heart and couldn’t be prouder of this fact.
My sincerest condolences to Sister Hannah’s family, friends and the Sisters of Nazareth House.
May Sister Hannah rest in eternal peace. 🕊️

My deepest condolences to the Dwyer family and the sisters of Nazareth House. Such a huge loss. When i attended Larmenier in the early 80' Sister Hannah was a teacher. Then when my son started, Larmenier Sister Hannah was his head teacher.
My grandfather passed away in Jamaica, without hesitation Sister Hannah offered to look after my son for 2 weeks while i went to rhe funeral. She said my son could stay at Nazareth House with her.
Although he ended up travelling with me, Sister Hannah offering to look after him is something we never forgot.
My son was so fond of you Sister Hannah and was very upset at your passing.
You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
Rest eternally in peace.

I was saddened to hear of Sister Hannah’s passing. I was lucky enough to start my teaching career at Larmenier where Sister Hannah was headteacher. It was always a joy to speak with her and I learnt so much from her. I am thinking of all her family and close friends at this time and will keep her in my prayers.
To the Dwyer family and the sisters of Nazareth,
I was surprised and saddened to hear about the passing of Sister Hannah. I’m grateful that I had the chance to know Sister hannah as a headteacher when I was student at Larmenier. My best memory was that she would always bring joy and smiles whilst clapping to the hymns in assemblies. It was a pleasure knowing Sister Hannah and will be deeply missed.

She was excellent with all her pupils and knew each one of them inside out.
She taught both of my children and they loved her dearly and I had the privilege alsoof working with her for a number of years. We enjoyed many laughs together and we had the same Irish background which made everything so real.

Sr Hannah's legacy lives on in the memories of the thousands of children she inspired and knew personally at Larmenier. When I rang Sr Hannah to ask her a question many years after she had returned to Nazareth House, there was just a momentary pause as I said my name and she immediately enquired about each of our four children by name. She was an outstanding headmistress and example of service, kindness and dedication to everyone she met. We feel blessed to have known her. Rest in Peace.

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Sr Hannah! I was fortunate to be employed by her in 2005 to work at Larmenier and Sacred Heart, firstly at the Convent and then in the new school building. I worked as one of her teachers until her retirement. Sr Hannah not only taught me so much in my early teaching career but she provided me personally with so much love and support. We have stayed in touch for many years and I will miss her dearly. Thinking of all those who knew her and are grieving. May she RIP.

Hannah was marvellous as Superior at Cheltenham, where she took on five of our elderly brethren as residents, giving their last years the real comfort of proper care and support. May she rest in peace after her long years of labour, and may God bless the Nazareth Sisters, throughout the world, with new life and vigour.
Dear Michael, John and Liz,
We met some of you at Larmenier seminal events.
We are so very sad and sorry for the loss of your extraordinary sister, who was a mother, friend and guide to all of us in our family. We loved her dearly like a member of our family. All three of our children had the best start possible in life under her wing at Larmenier. She transformed their lives and so many hundreds of other children’s lives for the better. She transformed our lives as parents, she built a community that is her legacy forever and parents sorely missed her when their children left primary school.
She was a bright star, an icon, a hugely intelligent character with twinkling eyes, mischievous humour and directness.
May she rest in peace. Big love the Harri family
