I did not know Sophia but I sympathise with you on your tragic loss. You had the privilege of her presence for too short a time but a life well lived is worth it

Sofia, you are now playing your football on the highest stage, Heaven. The angels have never seen a more brighter smile and welcomed you with open arms into their team. They know they have THE BEST!

To your Parents, Brother and wider family I'm sending my sincerest condolences. I wish them courage and strenght at this very difficult time.
And whenever the time feels right for them, I hope they can find comfort and peace in recalling all the wonderful memories you all shared together.

On a Monday, still and quiet,
The world paused, a heavy sigh.
Sofia, with her golden hair,
A smile too bright for time to spare.
She ran, she played, a joyful soul,
A heart with dreams, a spirit whole.

Her laughter filled the summer air,
With friends and football, none could compare.
She'd chase the ball, her feet so fast,
A winning streak that would not last.
In every game, she'd give her all,
The rush of joy, the thrill, the call.

Her brother, just a few years more,
A bond so deep, they’d both adore.
She’d cheer him on with love so pure,
Together, they were strong, for sure.
Her parents' pride, their brightest star,
They held her close, no matter far.

But on that Monday, soft and still,
The sun rose high, against its will.
A heart too heavy, a world too wide,
Sofia, lost, the tears they cried.

She’ll never grow, she’ll always be
The twelve-year-old who ran so free.
Her name, a whisper in the breeze,
Her laughter now, a memory.

Each day of the week will hurt too much,
The days she’d lived, the days she touched.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, through to Friday,
Her absence, like a sky of gray.

But we’ll remember, as the years unfold,
The girl with dreams that couldn’t be told.
Sofia’s light will never die,
Though she’s gone, she’ll always fly.

In every football game, in every race,
Her spirit lives in each embrace.
She'll always be, at twelve, so bright,
A star that burned, a burning light.

I did not have the privilege of knowing your beautiful daughter but I was so shocked when I heard of her untimely passing that I wanted to express my deepest sympathy to all her family and friends. I watched the service today which although heart breaking it was also so very beautiful.
