I'm so sorry for your loss. Sonya taught me how to drive and was such a lovely woman. She always talked about her family and was so proud of her husband and sons and especially little Freya. Thinking of you all and the friends and clubs she got so much joy from. I know a lot of people are missing her and you're all in my thoughts.

RIP Sonya. You taught me how to drive and always encouraged, supported and had faith in my driving even when I didn’t. It was lovely to chat to her on the lessons. She always made the lesson amazing and calm. She always made me excited to have another lesson with her and to feel so comfortable around her is amazing. She will be very dearly missed

I'm so grateful to have known Sonya. So patient and motivating. Only for her I had the confidence to get in a car and pass my test. Never a dull moment, always laughing and joking. Sincere condolence to all Sonya's loved ones. She was an extremely kind person and a dear friend of our late mam Annie, Sonya drove her to and from the darts, during lockdown she would call over to see she had everything she needed and often brought her to your house for a drink and sing song. No comfort to you all now but during the next few weeks and months you will realise how special she was and know there were many people waiting to greet her on Wednesday night. Take care of each other and laugh at all the good memories often. Keep telling Freya how her beautiful Nana loved her and how she loved being a grandmother. The Mc Donnell Family.

I was so deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Sonya’s passing. She was a truly wonderful person and an incredible driving instructor. Every lesson with her was filled with such lovely conversations and laughter and she had a gift for making even the most nervous learner feel at ease.
Sonya cared so much for her students, not just as drivers but as people. She always shared in the joy of her students’ successes, and you could tell that seeing them pass was her favourite part of the job.
She spoke so fondly of her children and absolutely adored her grandchildren, especially girlie Friday movie nights with Freya. Her love and pride for her family shone through in every word. Sonya will be so dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to know her. May she rest in peace. 💐
