It has been an honor and absolute privilege to have known Sr. Aidan as my headmistress and often English teacher in CGL. She instilled many invaluable life lessons not just the pursuits of academics/ life skills. She gained the trust, respect and love of many young girls she had the privilege to mentor over her lifetime as CGL’s headmistress and during her golden years as a retiree.

She will be loved and remembered for the legacy she left behind; from her beloved teaching faculty and all her students. God bless you and keep you safe in His loving arms, Sr. Aidan. God bless and love your entire kin and May all your CGL alumni raise the banner of good citizenship and stewardship as long as we have breath.

I’m very sad that Sister Aiden has passed away. She was a kind and patient teacher who helped me learn English. She taught me at her house near the Botanical Garden in Penang during her free time. I will always remember her smile and how much she cared for her students.

Dear Family,
It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Sister Aidan. I, Tan Kee Keow ( Teresa ) was a student of Sister Aidan from 1979 to 1984. She was inspirational in my life and she gave me good Irish values of honesty, kindness and hard work. Thanks in part to her I am now a successful businesswoman in Penang. I am married to a Galway man and through him we tracked down Sister Aidan in 2021 through the local post in Mallow….. long story !! We have visited her each year since then and had planned to visited again, this September. We have just watched the ceremony on line and sit here devastated and upset over her passing. We will truly miss her, she was an amazing person. God bless you all, Teresa and Tony

Deepest condolences to Sr Aidan's famly, she was my principal in Convent Green Lane secondary school from 1973-1977. She was well liked and loved by all. As a form 1 student in 1973, I was most impressed by her speeches in our national language, Malay, during school assemblies.

May she RIP, our dearly cherished, bubbly Irish beauty & inspired Science teacher who showed us how to live with dynamism. Wont forget her humorous sex education lesson to my naughty class in Convent Light Street, Penang, Malaysia, in the 1960s. Holding her n loved ones in prayer.

Sister Aidan taught two generations of girls in my family at Light Street Convent, and one of them went on to teach at Green Lane Convent under her leadership as school principal. She saw us through birth, deaths and marriages, she never judged, but continually offer support and guidance, that to this day stayed with me. As a family, we always speak of her.
