Together with her colleague Sisters in the Mercy Order she by example and conscientious endeavour laid the sound foundation that ensured the success of Coláiste Seosaimh in Glenamaddy in the early years and thereafter. She had a wonderful rapport with students and her valued contribution to education will long be remembered and appreciated by those who had the privilege of having her as their teacher and mentor. Was so sad to hear of the passing of Sr Angela. I have lovely memories of her as my French teacher in IWC. She was an inspirational teacher who really wanted the very best for her students. You touched many lives Sr Angela and I'm sure you are now receiving your eternal reward. Sincere sympathy to her family and Mercy Sisters.

My very deepest sympathy to the Hoare family and to the sisters of Mercy Community on the very sad loss of a very special lady Sr. Fatima. I was so lucky to have been a student in her french class in Colaiste Seosamh Glenamaddy in the late 60'S . I loved her warmth, her interest in our lives, her encouragement, and her great sense of humour and fun along with the care, support and compassion she showed us. On cold winter days she spent small break distributing hot orange to us in the shed. She introduced us to the wonderful sport of camogie and spent many long hours after school playing on the field with us and we trying to trip her up! What an influence she was on us in our teenage years and long afterwards. May she enjoy her eternal reward for the long life that she lived so well. Ni bheidh a leitheid aris ann.

Condolences to Sister Angela’s (Fatima) extended family and the Sisters of Mercy Western Branch, Stella Maria, Galway.
While teaching in Colaiste Seosaimh Glenamaddy, Sister Angela’s determination ensured that we were exposed to ‘Culture’ which came in the form of French lessons. She was probably the only Irish-native who could speak the French language properly.
Sr Angela, along with all the Sisters of Mercy teachers, gave selflessly to the communities in which they served. Their legacy of love, caring and dedication, is the very embodiment of Christ’s message.
