I was deeply saddened to learn that dear Sr. Anna has gone to God. May she rest in external peace. I got to know Sr. Anna both in the former Rickard House and whilst I was working in St. Joseph's. A wonderful lady, full of humanity, compassion, fun and style. A lady who touched many lives with her gentle and dignified presence, someone who welcomed me into her home with an open heart. Sr Anna was one of the kindest gentlest most compassionate ladies I have been privileged to know and work with. As a very young innocent student nurse on Holy Angels in Crumlin she helped me make sense of a lot of things. Later as a staff nurse she once again became my manager on St Joseph’s Ward where she truly cared for her staff and patients. She was one of a kind -inspirational and born for chaplaincy.

Sr Anna was a true mentor to me as a student children’s nurse, staff nurse and ward sister in Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital. Her kindness, gentle caring and devotion to children and their parents lives long in our memories.

She was truly a wonderful person, a great role model, with that quiet insight, huge compassion and such a generous spirit. I met her also many times in St James’s and her focus was always on others rather than her illness. Like so many others, I will miss her very much and will never forget her. May she rest in peace.

Sister Anna has left to be with her family in her next life, as hard as this is Anna has spent her whole life dedicating herself to God. The Joy she got here spreading the word of God and seeing the good in people has now brought Anna to meet them all in person. Even through her illness she managed to renew her vows , that in itself showed her loyalty to God and her sisterhood. You Eileen & Anna were so close a piece of your heart has gone to heaven with her. But to say how proud she was of you , Gerry the girls, husbands and beautiful grandchildren she never felt like she missed out in being a wife or Mom because she had all that with ye. She was a beautiful person inside and out and I'm very sure with the impact that Anna has left here on earth has many people feeling the same grief as you all .My heart is heavy but we were so privileged to have known Anna. To all the sisters and clergy our heartfelt condolences. Sending you all so much love and strength .
