May Sr Nuncie’s gentle soul rest in eternal peace back with God and her fellow angels.
From the birth of babies, through education, illness and family bereavements, Sr Annunciata was an angel in our midst and a blessing to many generations. She was so special to my family and we adored her gentle soul. The only person outside the family that our late great aunt Kathleen Hearne would open the door widely to on Alphonsus Road! The angels in heaven are rejoicing. Rest in peace and thank you Nunsie, never has a jelly bean tasted more delicious.

My lovely friend Sr. Nuncie, thank you for always being a special part of my life. In the smooth and rocky times your prayers and kindness were so much appreciated. Rest in peace Sr Nuncie with all the other angels. Sincere condolences to your family and the St. John of God Sisters.
Sincere condolences to the sisters of St.John of God and family of Sr Annunciata, She was a walking Saint, we were so lucky to have her in our mists, she brought peace and calm wherever she went, god bless her and look after her in her eternal life as she looked after so many in the kindest and simple ways. She had a word for everyone she met.
I first met Sr Annunciata way back in 1987/88 after a RTA, in Ardkeen Hospital. St Annuncita rode her bicycle to the hospital, daily to visit long stay patient, and would often bring sweets or chocolate, she had such a kind heart. Coincidentally some years later, i realised my husband and brother in law knew her also, as she thought my brother in law, and became a close family friend to them. They often visited her in Waterford when she retired and she loved seeing them. Sr Annunciata moved to Wexford, and lived her final years there. We continued to visit her there and she always was so welcoming, along with the other nuns. St Annunciata was such a special, gentle and loving lady and she will be missed by so many. May she Rest In Peace.
Anyone who came into contact with Sr Nuncy knew straight away that they were in the presence of a true gift from God. She was the embodiment of kindness and all that is good. She will be sorely missed.

My memories of her bring a smile and a tear now that she is gone. She braved a storm to sit with my Grandmother on her death bed. (The others nuns wouldn’t let her cycle so one taxied her to and from St Patrick’s)

No task was undertaken without the same level of devotion and positivity by her.

She was a true angel and will be remembered dearly by all of those that her heart touched. Rest in peace x

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Sr Annunciata who was fondly known by all in our community as Sr Nuncie.

Sr Nuncie had a preschool in our school for many years. Many St John of God girls and boys received their preschool education in Sr Nuncie's kind and caring nursery in the room which is now our computer room. She always had a bag of jellies with her and gave them to all the children she encountered throughout the day. Many will recall Sr Nuncie giving them jellies well into their adult lives!

Sr Nuncie loved babies. The beautiful crochet blessings she made for new babies all over Waterford city will be treasured.

Sr Nuncie spent many years working with the elderly and the sick in our community. She visited the elderly in St Patrick's Hospital and the sick in Ardkeen hospital daily. Many will remember her cycling to the hospitals each day.

We all missed Sr Nuncie when she moved from Waterford to the St John of God Convent in Wexford some years ago.

A true angel, Sr Nuncie showed us all what is is like to walk in the footsteps of St John of God. It was a privilege for all of us who were fortunate to know her.
