Very sincere sympathy to the Nolan and Killian families on the death of Sr.Antonia A `wonderful person May her gentle soul rest in peace .
My deepest condolences to Sister’s family as well as her religious family, the Sisters of Mercy in Ireland. She was my spiritual director, companion in the St?Ignatius Exercise s and one of my dearest friends, We prayed together, had heated discussions and laughed often. She pushed me to leave my comfort zone and take training to direct the Exercises and then to become a certified spiritual director. When we traveled to aIreland with our husbands to visit her, we fell in love with Ireland and the wonderful people. My husband Walter and I will treasure the years we had with her.
I was very sad to hear of Sr Antonio's death and I offer my deepest sympathy to all the members of her birth family and her Mercy colleagues in the Western Province.
May she rest in eternal peace RIP.
I taught with Antonio in Scoil Mhuire in Ballinasloe and I always enjoyed the spirited discussions we had when we taught Seniors religious studies. We held opposing views on some aspects of religion especially on the position of women in the Church but it didn't mar the respect I had for her in -depth knowledge of spirituality.
It was good to know her and her time in California was a very positive phase in her life.
God bless you Antonio and may God reward you for a life of service to promoting His good news of salvation and eternal happiness.
May she rest in eternal peace RIP.

Sincere sympathy to the Killian and Nolan families and the Sisters of Mercy on the passing of Sister Antonia. I was blessed, inspired and challenged by Sister. . She guided my weekly Spiritual Exercises then our book club at the Spiritual Enrichment Center. A remarkable lady who shaped my faith, enriched my life and made me laugh. May you Rest In Peace and know that you are loved.
Many in Santa Rosa are saddened at the news of Sister Antonia’s death.
She was such a wealth of progressive spiritual ideas that she put into action. So many benefitted from her nine months of weekly meetings in the St. Ignatius Exercises. And the organization of the House of Prayer and finally the Spiritual Enrichment Center offering the Ignatian Exercises, various and uplifting speakers, a spiritual book club and a social justice bookclub that are continuing to the present. Others have followed in Sister’s path taking the three year St. Ignatius Exercises course with the Jesuits to become directors for many more.
Such a legacy!
Pat Dillaway and I accompanied Sister to Washington DC which she wanted to see before she returned to Ireland.
She was so curious, and such an avid reader that she held us up at each site because she had to read all the memorials, plaques, pictures etc.
And Pat and I and our husbands were blessed to be able to visit Antonia in her Ballinasloe home with Sister Mary and Sister Aiden.
I cherish these memories, my friendship with Antonia, and her remarkable vision of spiritual enrichment for the laity.

When we 3 were together at our home, so was one of our dogs, happy to be next to Sister who always had a treat or 2 in her pocket.
