Sr Assumpta was our neighbour in Woodlawn for a number of years.I worked with her in "Victims Support" and visited victims of crime together in South Kerry. Sincere condolences to the O Shea family and the Sisters of Mercy on your great loss. I had the pleasure of getting to know Sr Assumpta when I worked in Bantry hospital in the 70’s . She was an excellent nurse a competent theatre sister ,kind and encouraging to all her students.Sr Assumpta also went the extra mile to support the marginalised and those in need in her area . She was a very special person. May she test in peace.

I had the pleasure and privilege of Sr Assumpta as a work colleague in St Columbanus where she worked as as a Chaplain.
Her loving, gentle. empathetic presence brought great comfort to residents, families and staff.
She made time for everyone she met with her lovely, warm and welcoming smile, which was a great invitation for resident, staff or visitor to have the conversation one might have needed or some days the chat and the laugh was just enough...Sr Assumpta read the situation so well.

She was a great loss to all of us when she finished in St Columbanus.

Rest in peace dear Sr Assumpta and thank you.
