I always enjoyed the conversations I had with Avril when dropping off the milk delivery to the Franciscan sisters. She was a very kind, caring and understanding person. A larger than life character that will be sorely missed by one and all. To the Franciscan community I offer my condolences and also extend my condolences to the Reynolds family, many of which I know and am fond of. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. May Avril Rest in peace and live fondly in the memories of all that knew her

I am very saddened to learn of the death of Sr. Avril.
I remember her with fondness. When my children were small Sr. Avril , her mother Helen and her sister Mary were great fun at the children's Christmas parties held in Sandymount. They played the piano and sang lots of Christmas songs.
The children loved the parties and Avril may have been Santa.
The parties were in the mid to late eighties.
May Avril rest in peace.

Bidding a fond farewell to a dear classmate. We started school on the same day and finished on the same day in Holy Faith, Haddington Road. I’ve always enjoyed our class reunions over the years. Avril, you and your reminiscing will be sorely missed by all of us.

A sister is an angel to look after you. Bring you to school, the pictures, bring you anywhere you want to go. She was there for every aspect of my life. The Lord bless you it was my privilege. You were the greatest piano player I've ever known. Your love of music transends everything. I love you Avril.
