Sincerest sympathy to the Sisters of Mercy and all of the Meehan family on the passing of lovely Sr. Bernadette. I remember her as such a warm, kind and funny presence in Scoil Phádraig where she knew each and every child by name and by character, even those of us not in her class, and she just seemed so happy to be there with us day in, day out – always with a soft smile and that twinkle in her eye and plenty of wisdom to share. I met her in later years and she seemed exactly the same. May the angels guard her now.
