I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Sr. Betty. I have fond memories of her great support for the St. Marys Cristian Meditation group founded towards the end of 1999 in Athlone. When we moved our meditation group to the Presentation sister's house in Athlone on Sr. Betty and another
Sisters invitation Betty came into her own. It was a wonderful location for the group and always i will remember Sr. Betty's warm welcome each week. The
oratory was always warm and cosy and a great aid to meditation. She kept us up to date with other events in Meditation throughout the country whither a talk by
some Meditation person or other. She was very welcoming to new members.
She was brilliant for the group. Each year before Christmas she would invite us back to the kitchen in the house for a "cup of tea". Only it was more like a feast. !! Ill never forget her bacon and pineapple sandwiches!! So she was great for keeping the group going. So may her kind, gentle, loyal, and generous soul be at peace... she was much loved by us.

So sad to hear of Sr.Betty's passing. As a member of our Christian Meditation Group in Athlone, Sr Betty welcomed us into her home each Monday evening. We were sad to take our leave of Betty when she retired to Kilkenny. A most humble lady who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.My sympathies to her family and Presentation Sisters. May Betty now enjoy the reward she so truly deserves.Rest in peace dear Betty.
