I was saddened when I heard of the death of Sr Brid and I wish to extend my sincere sympathy to the Smith family and the Loreto.Community. I was in the same class as Brigid in Loreto, Cavan from 1955 to 1960.. She had a great sense of humour and greeted everyone with a smile. After many years we met up again when she had her companion with her the beautiful dog Bramble. They were a great team and could travel anywhere together Rest in peace now Sr Brid with family members gone before you.

I was so sad to hear of the passing of Bríd. I have many happy memories of teaching with her in Loreto, Dalkey. Bríd was a person who inspired, encouraged and connected with so many whom she met. Her sense of fun, wonderful energy for life and positive approach to challenges have created the legacy which will carry on living in our memories of her. My deepest sympathies to Bríd’s family and to her Loreto family both here and abroad.

All Loreto Flyers are tonight very sorry to hear of the very sad passing of Sr Brid.

We remember her so very fondly as she cycled with us, the very tough but very beautiful Ring of Beara.

A wonderful person and such a inspirational woman - we are all so much better to have known her and enjoyed her company.
