She exuded warmth , compassion and respect towards everyone she came in contact with. Her many talents ranged from the academic to the artistic and the energy she brought to all her projects including “tops of the town” was legendary . Remembering Sr Carmel on the day of her funeral - what a wonderful teacher ! It is 50 years since I walked out of her classroom but I can still remember the detail of some of the unique 6th class projects that she did with us. She set us up so well for the next stage of our lives in secondary school. Holiday Hay Ride was the Top of the Towns show that she staged that year, complete with ice skaters on the Town Hall stage. And she somehow managed to make it seem credible without any ice ! She was so creative with the choreography and music and likewise with everything else that she taught so memorably.
