Sincere, prayerful sympathy to the family, friends and the Marist Sisters on the death of Sr. Catherine. We were classmates in Carrick-on-Shannon and we organised a class reunion in 2000 which was enjoyed by all who attended. The Mass and the music for the occasion were arranged by Sr. Catherine.

We have known Sr. Catherine for nearly two decades and will always remember her kindness to everybody she met. She was always smiling and liked to have everybody happy in her company. We were aware she was great at teaching music and she herself was a musical genius.
We remember spending a week with her in Lourdes It was a beautiful time. She was truly a person of honour and no person with such characteristics and integrity will ever be forgotten. She will live forever in our hearts.
She was always the brightest candle in the room and now she's the brightest star in the Heavens. May her soul ascend to Heaven to sing with all the Angels and Saints.
We were so lucky to know her and we thank all the Marist sisters for all the great work they have done over many years both at home and abroad. Even now in their advancing years, they are all still working hard and will help anybody in need. A pity there is not many more like the Marist sisters.
We are so saddened about your loss, but so glad that you all will have such great memories of Sr. Catherine's life to comfort you.
May her soul ascend to Heaven to meet her siblings and friends and may she now sing with the Angels and Saints. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Sr Catherine was quietly encouraging and supportive when I commenced my teaching career in Tubbercurry in 1973. Her radiant smile seemed ever present; her respect for her students, her patience and encouragement in the classroom taught me valuable lessons for my career in teaching. She was indeed much loved by her students. RIP

Songs like ..Deportees....and the harmonies we achieved...

She definitely was a teacher before her time...

So sad to hear of Sr Catherine’s passing. She was truly an inspirational music teacher… and I had the privilege of being one of her ‘Musicianship’ pupils a long time ago in the Marist Convent, Tubbercurry. A new subject then, Sr Catherine undertook her teaching of it with dedication. I can thank her for a wonderful foundation and interest in music.
