My sincere sympathy to Fiona, Eilis and Sr Concepta's extended family on her passing.
I was another of the lucky ones to benefit from Sr Concepta’s teaching for my five years in the Mercy in Tuam from ’88 to ’93. She taught me Irish and Religion. Sr Concepta’s enthusiasm for Irish was famous and I can easily recall her many 'sing songs' and rhyming patterns that she instilled in us all to help us remember various Irish grammatical rules.
She loved her GAA and started most Monday mornings doing a run down and pop quiz of who won the various club and inter county football games that had taken place over the weekend.
Sr Concept was good humoured, fun and kind and I will remember her fondly and with a smile. May she rest in peace.

I will always remember the support and encouragement Sr. Concepta gave me when I reached a crisis point in 5th year. The vocal support she gave to the various school teams was also much appreciated. Rest in Peace Sr.Concepta.

Sr. Concepta (Aunt May) was the world’s holiest cheerleader! I appreciated her loving support of my endeavors, especially my academic ones. She had a quiet peaceful presence and has been a wonderful example of a true Christian. She will no doubt rest peacefully in heaven with our Lord. Sending love to the entire Coen family!

Sr Concepta was a dedicated teacher. I was lucky to have her prepare me for my Leaving Cert Irish in Mercy Tuam. The famous "Call to training" depended on an honour in Irish and her dedication ensured that "The Call" duly arrived. Going through Carysfort and later in my teaching career I employed and shared many of Sr Concepta's rhymes and tricks to remember the grammar rules.
Following closely behind Srs Teresa and Eileen, I'm sure a great welcome awaits her.
May she now rest in peace.

Betty , Tony , Fiona , Eilis and all of Sr.Conceptas extended family , freinds and the Sisters Of Mercy , sorry for your loss. I was very blessed that Sr.Concepta took me under her wing during my years in Mercy Convent Tuam. She taught me Irish and Elocution. I have many many wonderful memories of visiting Rosshill with Margeret , Fr.Charlie and Sr.Concepta playing music and having chats and telling stories.
She lived an amazing life and was an inspiration to us all.
