Sincere condolences to the Sisters of the North Presentation Community and to the Keane family on the passing of Sr de Lourdes.
I was fortunate to have worked with Sr de Lourdes for many years in St Brendan's school. Her energy, commitment and love for the children was always inspirational. She was the driving force behind the wonderful music programme that gave so many pupils the opportunity to learn instruments like the concert flute, coronet, percussion and recorder. The performances by the Orchestra as she liked to call it were always really impressive.
Sport and tennis in particular was her other great love. She gave so much if her time coaching the girls and this time and effort resulted in many victories in The Barber Cup.
Her enormous contribution to the entire school community continued many years after her official retirement from classroom duties. She will always be remembered with great fondness, love and respect by the many people whose lives she touched in such positive ways.

Sincere condolences to Mary Pat, the extended Keane family and the Presentation community on the death of our cousin Pol (Sr De Lourdes).
Dr. DeLourdes was the personification of love, and she was loved by so many. She made the world a better place with her huge heart and her loving energy. Even when she gave me a well-deserved spanking, she did it with love.
Sr. De Lourdes was an unbelievable force of influence during her time at Sacred Heart School in Warner Robins, Georgia, USA. I have always thought back fondly about my time in Catholic school and it is in large part because of her. She had us marching in parades and playing instruments anywhere we could have an audience, even in the world renowned St. Patrick’s parade in Savannah Georgia (where a party goer watching the parade even walked up to our marching nun leading us and gave her a big kiss on the cheek!). We had sports largely because she seeks out anyone and everyone to coach us and have us compete with in the region! Sister was someone I will never forget and love her so much for all she did to make the experience of the students at the little Catholic school a great one. Just as we sang the Irish blessing at the end of every funeral I will wish it to you and your sweet soul. Love you Sister de Lourdes and thank you. “May the road rise up to greet you. may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, May the rain fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you, in the hollow, of his hands.”
Very sad to hear of the passing of Sr de Lourdes. Our prayers and sympathy to Mary Pat - Keane family & Presentation Communities.

She was such a terrific lady and was responsible for introducing us to the game which we have loved during our lives.. May she continue to enjoy her music and tennis forever in God,s heavenly courts.
May her soul Rest In Peace.❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Sister de Lourdes was a wonderful champion for Sacred Heart school. Who can forget her, leading the band in the annual Christmas parade as they probably marched down Watson Boulevard in Warner Robins. She was indeed an inspiration to the whole town and she put Sacred Heart school on the map . My deepest condolences to her family and to the Presentation Sisters.
Sr. DeLourdes was my Principal at Sacred Heart Catholic School in the mid 80’s. She became my tennis doubles partner when I was in my early teens. She was tough, and showed me strength through kindness. She will be missed.
My sincere condolences to the Keane family and the community of North Pres on the passing of Sr. de Lourdes. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
I had the privilege of recording Sr.De Lourdes for the Nano Nagle video with Br. Donal Leader.
Sr. De Lourdes was an oracle of historical knowledge and was fascinating to listen to.
Apart from her fatholmless depth of wisdom one felt very at ease and light in her company.
I enjoyed every moment i spent recording her and there was little editing needed to be done afterwards , such was her delivery.
Being a musician myself we spent too much time talking about our favourite composers and pieces of music.
In hindsight, maybe not enough talking about the music we loved and why.
Sr.de Louredes left an impression of warmth and well-being all the while knowing that there was a wealth of knowledge and wisdom.
It would be safe to say that Sr. De Lourdes exploited the talents God gave her and generously shared it all.
The world was lucky to have her.
May she rest in peace.

Sr. de Lourdes was a big part of not only my life, but my entire family for many years when she was our Principal at Sacred Heart School in Georgia. She had such an energetic soul -whether is was our band, tennis or Irish dancing - she not only taught us but she marched with us, challenged us to a match & she danced with us.

May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,

Deepest sympathies to the Keane Family and the North Presentation Community, on the sad passing of Sr de Lourdes. May she rest in peace.
I was very blessed to be one of Sister Delourdes many "children" in Georgia. She not only spotted but nourished the talent and gifts in all she met. She was fierce, loving and faithful. She has frequently been my inspiration in my teaching career. She believed nothing was impossible with faith.
We are so sorry for your loss. Sister DeLourdes helped my family at one of our lowest points. She encouraged me to go into education. I was blessed with a wonderful career because of her influence. My story is one of many. Sister DeLourdes was one in a million!
A pleasure to have met this wonderful lady who advocated for the right of every child to have access to music making opportunities and did everything thing she could to make it happen for those she worked with. May she rest in peace.
Sending our deepest sympathy to the family of sister de Lourdes and also to her sisters in the presentation order. Sister was a regular visitor to our shop en route to the nursing home in lattin to visit her sister . She was always so lovely to meet with and so refreshing and humerous. We are so sorry to hear she has passed away and again will miss her calling . May she rest in peace . 🙏
I want to express my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Sister de Lourdes. I attended Sacred Heart School from Kindergarten through 8th grade in Warner Robins, Georgia (1985-1994). She had been principal before I started there, but she came back after Sister Vera left, when I was in 5th grade. I'll always remember how much she loved sports and music, as others have said (she marched with us in the Warner Robins Christmas parade each year, as we played "When the Saints Go Marching In" on our recorders). She was tough but loving to all of us. I also recall her telling us to be sure we did well in high school, so we didn't end up attending a "Mickey Mouse College." I was amused by that later when I eventually took part in the Disney College Program in Orlando the summer after my freshman year at Georgia State University. The last time I saw her was (if I recall correctly) the 50th anniversary of Sacred Heart School, in 2005. I'm glad that I was recently able to listen to a podcast interview that she gave to the Nano Nagle Place Podcast, recorded within the past couple years. It was so great to hear her voice again, as she discussed her life. You can still find the podcast if you Google it.
Rest in Peace, Sister de Lourdes. Thank you for your wisdom, guidance and love. I hope to see you again someday.

We had the good fortune to know Sr de Lourdes, when she was at Sacred Heart School in Warner Robins Ga. she was one of a kind. Her faith and her love of God, shined in everything she did. Her 'children' were her greatest joy. She loved life... I had the privilege of playing tennis with her, and against her... believe me, she was very competitive and I very much preferred to play with her!! May she rest in peace.. God has called home one of His greatest angels!! Condolences to her family and Religious Order.
I had the great pleasure to have had Sr. de Lourdes as a principal in Warner Robins GA, at Sacred Heart School. Boundless energy, her great love of sports, of music, and most of all, for children, all eclipsed by her deep faith. I know she is in heaven, and I'm happy for her.
We send our love and condolences to Sister de Lourdes' family and community of Sisters. Her smile brightened our lives as did her love of God and the children of Sacred Heart School! We are assured she is resting the arms of Jesus!
