Sincere sympathy to the Mercy sisters on the death of Sr. Dolores. She was principal of the Sacred Heart school when I was a student and student teacher and was very helpful and supportive when I was doing the H Dip Ed as it was known then.
I remember her as a wonderful English teacher who coached us as a diocesan public speaking team. Her history of the Mercy Sisters in Tullamore is indeed a treasure trove of school history and memories.

Sr. Dolores was my Headmistress at the Sacred Heart School for the last years of my time there.
She was always interested in the girls and very fair. I hope that she is now reaping the rewards of her hard work. My sympathy and prayer for her family. May she rest in peace. Sr. Angela (Oxford)
