Deepest sympathy to all Sr Eileen's nieces, nephews, sister-in-law, especially Kathleen, Betty and Mattie Kennedy, the extended Dwyer families, her Religious Community in New Zealand and friends on her sad passing.
Her funeral Mass, was a fitting tribute to all her good works during her long life so well lived, she was an inspiration to so many.
May her noble Soul Rest in Eternal Peace reunited with all her loved ones.
I had the privilege to be taught by Sr Eileen for a very short time before she left Ireland. I can still recall her kind, gentle, fun loving personality. She was a lady. RIP 🌹🙏

Listening to the story of her life at the funeral Mass on the webcam she was an inspired & inspiring woman.
No doubt she is with the good Lord in heaven.
Interesting & sad too that she was the last of the Irish girls that went to Christchurch to join the Mercy Sisters there. The end of an era.

I fondly remember her trips out to Glengoole on her bike from Drombane to visit us in my parents home (Justin and Kathleen Norton) in Glengoole.
