Leaba i measc na naomh go raibh aici.
Bean uasal, léannta, diongbháilte a d'fhág oidhreacht mhór ina diaidh, go speisialta an lorg a d'fhág sí ar a cuid scoláirí agus ar mo leithéidse a chuir aithne uirthi agus mé i mo mhuinteoir óg. Mairfidh a cuid oibre scríofa chomh maith, na leabhair a d'ullmhaigh sí agus an saothar ar son na liotuirge i nGaeilge. Go gcuite Dia an obair sin go léir léi.

Sincere sympathy to the family of Sr. Eilis and her St. Louis Community in Rathmines and St. Genevieve's. I first met Sr. Eilis in St. Louis Convent, Kiltimagh where she was Principal and held in great esteem. More recently
I was the recipient of her beautiful handwritten cards as Gaeilge. They were always most welcome. Sr. Eilis will be greatly missed, may she rest in peace.
Eilís was a wonderful colleague at the Milltown Institute. Her kindness and cheerfulness made her delightful company. Eilís had time for everybody and did a great deal of work, whilst never seeming to be rushed.
Her late sister Síle and I were in the same year (1969-70) at the Library School in UCD.
May their good souls rest in peace and rise in glory!
