Sr Eithne and the Mercy Sisters in
Carysfort were so kind and inspirational. They gave so much to education.
So sorry to hear of the passing of Sr Eithne. She always had a warm welcome for all the Cashen’s when we visited Convent of Mercy Rush. Our heartfelt sympathy to Sr Basil, Sr Dominic & all of Sr Eithne’s family & Mercy Community. May she Rest in Peace.
Heartfelt sympathy to the Sisters of Mercy, Sr Eithne’s family, relations& friends following her sad passing. My memories of choral work under Sr Eithne’s baton whilst a student teacher in Carysfort Training College in the early 1970’s are special. She immersed herself wholeheartedly into Music 🎶… to this day I treasure the gift of singing& being part of a choir so Míle Buíochas duit. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílís.
So sad to hear òf Eithnes journey back to our Lord may she rest in the arms of Mary she toiled for most of her life and may she enjoy the Peace she so rightfully deserved as God welcomes her home .to his KINGDOM .

Sr Eithne touched the lives of so many here in Rush with her involvement with the Do This in Memory Programme and Julian Group. She was was such a gentle, kind spiritual lady. I myself feel blessed to have had her in my life. Your life’s work now done Sr Eithne, may your gentle soul rest peacefully in the loving arms of the Lord, as you richly deserve.

We have fond memories of Sr Eithne, chatting at daily mass in Rush and in particular Sadhbh has great memories of baking buns with her granny Helen and bringing them up to Sr Eithne in the convent to enjoy. May Sr Eithne rest in eternal peace.

I offer my sincere condolences to the family and Mercy community of Sister Eithne.
She played the organ for our residents in Lusk community unit every Friday and was a great comfort to the residents.

Sr Eithne was a dear friend to me throughout my training in Carysfort. I was blessed to have her as a neighbour when she retired to Rush. May she enjoy peace and beatitude now and may those she leaves behind be happy for her and rejoice that they were blessed to have known her in this life.
