I was privileged to have Sr.Emmanuel as my Maths teacher in St. Joseph's Ballaghaderreen and in later years to teach alongside her at St. Mary's College , Ballisodare. Rest peacefully Sr Emmanuel. Very fond memories of you teaching us in St Joseph’s Gurteen. You were one kind and patient teacher, particularly in our elocution classes on Saturdays where you never succeeded in getting me to pronounce ‘thunder’ properly.

I am very saddened to hear of the death of Sr. Emmanuel. She taught us mathematics in St. Joseph's secondary school Ballaghaderreen, and was an outstanding, patient, kind and first class teacher. I have fond memories of her in school, and remember that she had a perpetual smile on her face. Her teaching set me off on my journey on my career as an accountant, and I know that I would not be there but for Sr. Emmanuel.

R.I.P. Sr Emmanuel. You were one of the best. Lovely memories of her as a teacher in Gurteen. Taught me Latin and Irish. She even made Peig interesting and gave me a great love for the Irish Language. She was so kind to everyone, a beautiful and gentle person. Condolences to her family and her Mercy Sisters.
