Mother Fidelia was my teacher for 5th and 6th class in Loreto Primary School, Dalkey. How we loved the afternoons spent sewing, crocheting and knitting and listening to BBC radio 4 schools programmes. She was a teacher ahead of her times and much loved. Sincere condolences to her family, her community and all who remember her with love.
My deepest sympathy to Carmel, Frankie and Kevin on the death of your much loved sister, and to Fidelia's relatives, her many loyal friends and the Gorey Community. My fondest memories of Fidelia go back to her days in 'Nutgrove', where her care for and interest in both staff and pupils was so evident. I very much regret not being able to attend her funeral, but will be with you in spirit.

I am very sad to hear of Sr Fidelia's death. As principal in Loreto, Churchtown, she gave me my first permanent teaching job. I have very fond memories of a kind, gentle and fair principal and enjoyed working with her for several years. May she rest in peace.

Sister Fidelia was my Principal when I was a young teacher in Loreto Secondary Top Rathfarnham. She was so kind and helpful always to me and I have very happy memories of a very fair and gentle lady. The last time I saw her was when she travelled to Dublin over a year ago to attend the funeral of the husband of a colleague. She looked fantastic and we all complemented her on her wonderful appearance and energy. May she rest in peace

I was blessed to have M. Fidelia as a teacher for 3 years during my school days in Dalkey. She influenced me and so many others in such a positive way. She definitely was a woman before her time! She always kept in touch and we remained firm friends. I am going to miss her so much but will always remember her with great fondness.

She was my principal for many many years in " Nutgrove" ,a fair, gentle and pleasant Principal and also a lovely person. Our friendship continued afterwards in Wexford where we met annually to catch up.She will be missed by her Community, former colleagues and past pupils

I will cherish our time spent together in Bantry celebrating Uncle Kevin and my mother, FRankie’s 80th Birthday a few years ago and will hold those memories close to my heart! Mother Fidelia taught myself and most of my siblings in Loreto Abbey National School in Dalkey. Always remember her cookery classes - apple tarts!
