Sister Genevieve, my forever headmistress.
I am deeply saddened to learn of her passing . One of those life realities that I do not want to believe.
It is with a heavy heart that I extend my heartfelt condolences to her family and community. She was truly an exceptional individual who had a profound impact on my life.

Under her solid stewardship, I learned valuable life lessons. Her sternness and love have shaped me into the person I am today. I am grateful for the time I spent under her guidance and will forever cherish the memories. Some unforgettable ones like our yearly theatre productions, where I spent so much time with her on stage perfecting my scenes, hold a special place in my heart.

Sr. Genevieve fought a good fight, she finished the race, she kept the faith. I thank God for her life.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
The biggest part of who I am is thanks to Sr. Genevieve!!! Thank you my Headmistress and may your beautiful soul rest in peace.
The Namagunga community, Uganda and Africa celebrate your life, Sister Genevieve. You will forever live on through the million lives you nurtured. The candle you lit will never burn out.
May you live on with the angels, dear one, until we meet again in Glory!
I remember in school at St Theresa Namagunga, sister Genevieve always asking us to trust the sacred heart of Jesus in all situations...before exams with our exam fever....I still do in my panic moments....when I saw it as her dedication....I wasn't surprised.Morning assemblies..."Trust the sacred heart of Jesus.."Rest well dear Sister.May the good lord recieve you in His glory and we shall continue to trust the sacred heart of Jesus.
Forever grateful for the mentorship and education Sr. Genevieve provided to us in Uganda.
May her soul rest in peace.
Sr. Genevieve was a mother to us and loved children while I was at St. Thereza Girl's Boarding Primary School Namagunga.
We shall miss you dearly.
Rest well with the angels, till we meet again.
Sr. Genevieve greatly impacted on my early childhood in St. Theresa Girls Primary Boarding School, Namagunga as a Missionary sister. I remember in my lower primary when you made us learn the multiplication table as there would be rewards for the best. You really put smiles on our faces as children.
You will greatly be missed but will forever be engraved in our hearts. I shall always remember her as the most thoughtful person I have met.
I am saddened by your death.
May her soul in eternal peace.
It was with utmost deep sorry when i learnt about the passing on of Sr. Genevieve. She was our Headmistress from 1974 - 1981 at St. Theresa Namagunga Primary School.

During her term of office as Headmistress there are some milestones which can never be forgotten especially in the minds of young children who we were.

Sr. Genevieve inculcated in us the gift of giving unceasingly. This was evident in the annual Christmas Parties she organized for the whole school and each of us went away with a gift bag. Thanks alot Sr. Genevieve.

Another milestone was ensuring decipline and good hygiene among the girls which most of us has helped us lead meaningful lives and offer good service to our country.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all those who contributed to those gifts then.

Secondly i would like to thank all those who took care of Sr. Genevieve after she left the Missionary work in Africa and especially those who took care of her during her last days. May the Almighty God continue to bless you Abundantly.

May the soul of Sr. Genevieve rest in Eternal Peace
My mother tried to get me into Namagunga Primary because it was a great school headed by the best teacher .
I got a chance to be admitted into secondary and was able to closely watch you train the effective Ugandans we see today .
Iam sure everyone remembers you for the great work you did
You did your part and your legency will continue because your students and their admirers like me will forever emulate you.
May your soul rest in eternal peace.
You laid a good foundation in our lives. In fact, one of my daughters is named Genevieve. I am who i am because of your sacrifices and love for girl child. Rest well sister
Dear Sr. Genevieve,
I was truly blessed to join Namagunga Primary school with you as headmistress. I have memories of how scared of you we were, for you were very strict. Now I know it was for our own good. I also realize how much you cared for us; for even when my mum couldn’t find school fees for us while our father was in prison, you allowed us to continue with school.
There were so many extra curricular activities like sports, music, drama etc. You opened our eyes to this true world. Thank you very much. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Till we meet again.
Sr. Genevieve was Jack of Trades while a teacher at Mount St. Mary’s Girl Senior School before she moved across to be Headmistress at the Primary School. She was a Maths teacher, played the Piano for music classes, School Driver if there was need, and supervised the beautiful school gardens and the gardeners. I think she was the only one among the non Ugandan teachers that learned and fluently spoke Luganda. She instilled discipline in a positive way which we learned to appreciate. I’m glad to have kept up communication with her and to share my current family of husband and 2 kids progress with her until when she couldn’t anymore.
Rest In Peace Sister Genevieve

My deepest condolences to Sr. Genevieve Kerins' family, KMSA family, Namagunga community and all her loved ones..
Sr. Genevieve was a very kind, compassionate and caring person. The greatest displinarian I have ever known! Her dedication to mentoring and nurturing the girl child and whoever crossed paths with her has had a great impact on who we are today. My family is so grateful to God for Sr. Genevieve's life and her works in St. Thereza Namagunga Boarding Primary School and the Namagunga community at large.

May she recieve her crown of honor from God, and sing with the angels in heaven🙏🏼
Sincere condolences to Mairead, the Kernins nieces and nephews and the FMSA community on the sad passing of Sr Genevieve. Memories of meeting her when I was a child on her holidays in Sligo home from Afirca. Decades later, I got to see some of her great legacy in Kampala where she was fondly remembered. Those 'missionary sisters and priests', sadly now nearly an extinct group were exceptional and worked so hard and in dreadful conditions for decades. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
Rest in Eternal Bliss, Sr. Genevieve. You mentored us to the great women we are today. Service & Public Duty is your greatest contribution to humanity. Rest in Peace. Shalom.
OH OUR MOTHER!!!
Sr. Genevieve has been next to none. Those of whom she natured and supported are in hundreds, and we aren't are what we are because of her. She'll always be remembered for being a mentor, counselor, helper, perfectionist, inspiror, role model, kind loving prayer worrior, and a great educationist in Uganda.
Sr. Genevieve was really a leader, mother and a great friend to us all.
Sr. Genevieve was indeed an extraordinary servant of God.
Sr. May your Soul Rest in Peace. May you receive your crown of honor and join the Heavenly Choir of Angels.🙏

My sincere condolence to the family of Sr. Genevieve. I got the best grooming and education under Sr. Genevieve's administration. She was my headmistress at St Theresa Primary Boarding School, Namagunga in Uganda, East Africa. I was her pupil from 1991 to 1997. Her core principles were, The church(mass) each morning, education(we spoke the best english language and still have the best signature handwriting today amongst other schools) and social etiquette (lady like grooming).
I am in England now.

Eternal Rest grant unto you, oh Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon her, May she rest in peace.

Sr. Genevieve was a great and compassionate leader. She was passionate about raising virtuous prayerful ladies for the nation and believed education was the key. She lay a foundation for many incredible girls as the headmistress of Namagunga. Many songs she taught us still ring in our ears and her love for mass stands out for me till today. Ive just found out. Im deflated. We didnt come to see you in time. Your Primary 7 class of 2001 (your last year as headmistress) have been working hard on a surprise for you. They wanted to give you a Christmas party like the ones you used to throw for us every year without fail. You made sure that every pupil of yours got a xmas present. For many of us that was the only xmas present we would ever get growing up.
We were scheduled to surprise you during the xmas holidays. We are sorry to hear of your passing.
