Sincere sympathy to the Kealy family on the passing of Sr. Hilda. I was a student nurse in St. Michael’s and taught very well by Sr. Hilda. She led by example and was a very hard worker with very high standards who wanted to see us students become the best version of ourselves. I particularly remember her coming back to the ward at night time to sit with the terminally ill who had no one visiting them. She was so kind, loving and had a great sense of humour. May She Rest In Peace.

She spent most of the day with me on the day my beloved aunt Sr. Carmelita passed away in Mc Auley House!
My sister Ann Clerkin RIP also found her very helpful during her nursing training in St. Michael's!

We have such positive memories of Sr Hilda as she took excellent care of my lovely Gran, Kitty, during her frequent stays in St Michael's hospital. A kind and authentic woman, Sr Hilda became a friend of the family and was a regular visitor to our home in decades past.

As a trainee nurse up from Clare Sr Hilda showed us great kindness and support she was very straight and set standards for us but was so kind and concerned for patients well being. She showed us by her own example how to care for sick people and especially the terminally ill RIP dear friend

I can’t believe I’m writing this. Sister Hilda, you were my grand-aunt, and I have so many fond memories of you from your visits to our house. You always brought such warmth, kindness, and love whenever you were around. Those moments will stay with me forever.

It’s hard to imagine the world without you, but I know that your spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. I’ll always cherish the times we spent together and the lessons of faith and family you shared with us.

You will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family during this time of loss.

Deepest sympathy to the Kealy family and the Mercy Community Eblana Ave Hilda was a great nurse but carried on a very quiet but important unseen ministry in Dun Laoghaire by caring for the people suffering from addiction and the home less in need of medical care many times early morning or late evening I saw Hilda attending to people who would not go to hospital but needed cuts cleaned or wounds dressed in the area around the back of the church in Dun Laoghaire people would go to her for help and encouragement with their struggles on living on the streets.
