Deepest sympathy to the Duggan family and all in the Dominican community Taylor’s Hill.

Sr Isabel was my first English teacher at Taylor’s and nurtured and encouraged my love of reading. I have such fond memories of ‘Great Expectations’ in her class and exploring the challenge that poetry presented. She was a gifted communicator who loved literature, music and philosophy and a teacher in the greatest sense of the word, whose lessons included important life skills, communication, social justice, community engagement, societal contribution, navigating family relationships and financial planning (those years as Community Bursar stood to her). Her legacy lives on in her sharing of the Dominican ethos with all she met.

A privilege to call her a friend for almost 50 years, her warmth, kindness, wit, humility and above all her smile will stay with me forever, she has been called home to God’s kingdom for her eternal rest. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
