Sr Jane Francis was a great teacher. Latin and Maths were her subjects at St Wolstan's Holy Faith Convent (in Celbridge, Co Kildare) during the 1970s. All these years later, her former students remember her with respect and affection. (The news was passed from a member of the Hurley family through a Crotty to a Facebook group of former classmates.) A strict teacher, a kind lady. I loved the subjects she taught, maybe because the teacher made them seem straightforward. May you rest in peace, Sr Jane Francis.
Rest in Peace, Sr. Jane Frances, a kind, and wonderful human being. Fond memories.
Sr Jane Frances will have something to say about that. She knew me in St Wolstans from 1958 to 1963. Rest in peace now Sr Jane Frances.
My condolences to the Hurley family & the Holy Faith community on the passing of Sr. Jane Francis. She never forgot a student's name,& always stopped for a chat. I admired her in so many ways.May she rest in peace.
My sincere sympathy to Sister Jane Frances's family, the Holy Faith Sisters and Community. Sister Jane was most gracious and kind in her dealings with people. She radiated an air of calmness and serenity around the School. I feel privileged that our paths crossed all those years ago. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
Sincere sympathy to The family & the Holy Faith Community, on the sad passing of Sr Jane Frances. I have fond memories of her during my student days, as boarder in St Wolstans, from 1958 to 1963. May she rest in peace.

Fond memories of your classes at school in St Davids
Rest in peace Sr Jane Francis x
Sr Jane Frances was both my aunt and my teacher at St David's in Greystones. Sister Jane radiated a calmness and patience in my life and a quiet faith in the humanity of each person that she met. I saw in her a living example of kindness that was a hidden strength that I came to understand more deeply in my adult years. I enjoyed speaking with her often from New York and Texas and she always asking about my children and their adventures. She was blessed with a special community of Holy Faith sisters with whom she worked to serve the wider world and who inspired her life and gave her great strength. My condolences to the town of Greystones and the Holy Faith order for this great loss. May she Rest In Peace.
My Deepest Sympathy to Sr Jane Frances Family and the Holy Faith Sisters and Community.
I knew Sr Jane Frances when I was a boarder in St Wolstans, 1968 to 1975. I remember her a lovely gentle lady and teacher.
May she Rest in Peace.
Deepest sympathies to all of Sr Jane Frances loved ones. As a former pupil of Sr Jane Frances in St Wolstans I remember her with fondness and appreciation .Val Cannon
Sister Jane Frances was not only an inspirational teacher, but a valued mentor to many of us young teachers starting on our path in St. David's in Greystones. I have fond memories of how she would have tea ready in the staff room in Liscarrig during our morning break in teaching and in need of her words of wisdom and humour. She was a kind lady, who never raised her voice and yet exuded a calm understanding of what was important in life .She cared deeply for all of those in her charge. Her quiet epigrammatic wit was also a legend in the staff room. I feel privileged to have known her and can only imagine the huge sense of loss that is now being felt by her beloved family and the Holy Faith sisters. My heartfelt condolences to you all. She is assuredly resting in peace after her life of service. Thank you Sr. Jane. We will miss you.
Sympathy to Sister Jane Frances' family and the Holy Faith
Community on the death of a wonderful lady.
May she rest in peace.
My sincere condolences to the family of Sr Jane and to the Holy Faith community. While Sr Jane didn’t teach me, she taught my siblings and friends over 40 years ago, all of whom held her in the highest regard. She always asked after them by name when I met her out and about in Greystones. A wonderful woman and an inspiring educator who left a deep imprint on the lives of everyone lucky enough to know her. Rest in peace, Sr Jane.
Sr Jane Frances was a wonderful Class Tutor and Maths teacher to me for 5 years. She was a truly special person. Aside from the algebra, she always taught us to be kind and caring to each other, & she drilled into us to " Do onto others , as you would wish others to do onto you" , which I always remembered and taught my own children. I often remember her reading a little daily poem or thought of the day from her book which she loved to share with us and was appreciated by us even if we possibly didn't show it at the time :) Rest in Peace Sr JF

Sr. JF was my tutor and English teacher in St. David's for three years. I was very fond of her as she was fair and a great communicator who really cared for our welfare. I still can recite the poetry she taught us and can hear echoes of "Sketch! It's JF" from the 1980s. May Sr. Jane Frances rest in peace.

I was saddened to hear this news today. Sr. Jane Francis taught me in fifth class in St. David’s junior school and then throughout secondary school in St. David’s too. She was and remains a legend among that generation in Greystones. I’m sure we all did her head in over the years. Fifth class wasn’t yesterday, so I’m glad she had a long life and is now at rest. I trust her life of devotion will assure her eternal happiness. To her family, thank you for sharing her with us. God Bless and May she rest in peace. Paul.
Heartfelt condolences to the family and to The Holy Faith Sisters!
