Sr Joan was the essence of a good Nurse. She was intellegent, kind, perceptive, hardworking and compassionate. It was easy to work with her. Her beloved Children came first. She wore the Habit lightly and well.

Sadly I never got to know Sr Joan but I knew about her. She was very kind to my mother when she was sick and passed away in St Finbarr’s hospital back in 1976.
She was one of likes kindest, an Angel in this life
