My deepest sympathy to the Gleeson family & the Reparation Community on the passing of Sr. Josephine. Myself, my parents Bríd & Hugh & all my family have very fond memories of a very kind, dedicated & Christian woman. We reminisced the other evening about photos we have of Sr. Josephine, how we called to the convent on a daily basis for mass, for a chat or treats & how upset we all were when the convent closed down. The South Parish's loss was Ballinlough"s gain. Sr. Josephine meant a lot to us all. May she rest in peace with the Lord now.
Rest in Peace my beautiful Auntie JoJo. You made such an impact on everyone you met and we were so lucky to have had you in our lives. My earliest memories of you with my dear mum, bernie and Auntie Rita always were ones of love, laughter and happiness. You have always been a tower of strength to us all as we grew up. We will miss you so much and am thankful to have such wonderful memories. We are so grateful to the wonderful staff of Athlunkard, and especially Ailin, who cared for her with such love. You are now with all your sisters, JoJo, and with Mary and Elizabeth, (who left us far too soon). Sleep well. Xxx

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Sr Josephine’s family, to her own community and parishioners in Ballinlough. I worked with Josephine in the late 90’s and early 00’s. It was with great sadness to hear of her death. She has left a beautiful legacy.
She gave beautifully of her time and energy to bring the love of God to so many people in Ballinlough. Much of this work was done quietly and without fuss. Herself and Sr Kathleen were some team and they left a beautiful trail of love everywhere they went.
Sr Josephine’s energy and enthusiasm with the children’s Masses was amazing. It ran like clockwork and lots of funny moments will always be remembered. It is the end of an era with Sr Josephine gone. She gave a life of beautiful dedicated service. She shared so much love and may she now enjoy God’s beautiful eternal light and love.

Solas na bhFlaitheas go raibh aici. Her inspirational faith stood her well in the enormous change from being in an enclosed order to that of a selfless , dedicated Parish Sister. She was involved in many Parish Church groups . Family were very important to her too and she to them . She was exceptionally close to her late sister Rita who had been widowed young and her family . You’re in our thoughts and prayers at this time .
