Deepest sympathy to the Deegan family and all who knew Sr Jude throughout her life. My mother worked with her and had a deep fondness and respect for her. The last months of my mothers life were spent at the nursing home where Sr Jude was. I have very fond memories of meeting her and joining her in the oratory where she taught prayers to my young son. May she rest in peace.

My condolences to the Deegan family and to the Mercy community on the death of Sr Jude. Sr Jude entered the Mercy convent in Navan at the same time as my late aunt, Sr Teresa Regan. They were great friends.

With my sister, Anne Marie, I visited Sr Jude in Milbury as recently as November. She spoke of her pilgrimages to Lourdes. How appropriate that her funeral was on the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
