Sr Katie taught me in fourth class, and we loved our trips to the beach for birdwatching and time spent outdoors in the school garden. I remember her warmth and sense of humour, she passed on her appreciation of nature to all of us! May Her gentle soul rest in peace.

Dear Family and Dominican family of Sr Katie. I wish to give you my loving condolence on Katie's death. I met and know Katie since the early 80s when we met in Clifden as member of Charles de Faucauld fraternity. It was mentioned by Bishop Brendan at the Requiem Mass today. What a brautiful celebration it was. Katie enriched my faith and life and we kept in touch for years by phone and letters. My health issues did not allow me to travel. Memories and photographs will keep her close to us. Bro Charles (now saint) will have been beside the Lord to welcomr Katie to heaven. Olivia, Cork Fratetnity.

So very sorry to learn that Katie has died. She was a lovely gentle soul and, though I didn’t know her well, I feel saddened by her passing. I met her on many an occasion when I visited the convent and she was always so friendly and welcoming may her gentle soul be wrapped in the arms of her loving Lord for all eternity. Because of my close ties and relationships with the sisters in Taylor’s Hill over my lifetime I have always tried to be present at some or all of their funerals but unfortunately I may not make it to Katie’s so wish to extend my sincere sympathies and condolences to her sisters in the Order and to her family. May she rest in peace.
