Sr Lucy joined St Monica’s when I was a teacher there.

She was an excellent leader and friend and I was very saddened to hear of her passing.

Rest in Peace Sr Lucy
Sr Lucy was Principal when I started St Monica’s in Belfast in 1981. She was a warm and loving lady, firm but fair.

I remember one time when I’m English class we were talking about other ways of communication rather than written or spoken. One we came up with was facial expression and eyes.

When she came into our class it was to tell us off about something.. when she left the classroom everyone shouted ‘did you see her eyes sparkle’

She had to tell us off but her eyes gave her away .

A beautiful lady in tough times in Belfast.
