I knew her well , having met her frequently with my aunt Sr Coleman. She was a wonderful person , a great nurse and a dedicated nun. On medical matters she was extremely knowledgeable , helpful and most supportive. She always showed a great interest in people and willing to help in every way.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Sr Martina's passing. I
first met her while doing holiday work in St Felims Hospital in Cavan some fifty years ago. Later I was to meet her on the Mercy Mission in Fumbo in Zambia. I remember her fondly as a woman of deep faith with a huge appetite and capacity for hard work. She truly represented all that was best in the Mercy Charism. I believe the world is a much better place because she has passed through it. Rest in Peace dear Sr Martina. Sincere sympathy to all her family and Communmity.

Sincere condolences to John and Bella, Bernadette and Benny, the extended family and the entire Mercy Community on the sad passing of Sr Martina. She was a good colleague and friend to our aunt Sr Coleman for many years and indeed to our entire family of different generations.She had a very successful nursing and management career helped by her great work ethic , straight talking,efficiency,l and interpersonal skills while displaying caring and compassion for all. Sr Martina travelled abroad especially to Africa to help the poor and develop facilities at a time when travel to such parts due to distance and means of transport was much less developed than it is in recent years. She was also a well respected and driven leader within the Mercy Community encompassing the best attributes of the religious life. Condolences from the Mc Loughlin's (Mary John Domhnall and Ann)and also from their respective parters especially Josephine who is a musical colleague of John's. May she rest in peace !

We loved to see her call to our late mam in swords Doreen and all the phone chats she had. One of the kindest people you could have as part of a family . Her kindness to mam will never be forgotten.
