Deepest sympathy to Alice and Mickey on the sad loss of their sister Mary. Sympathy also to her nieces and nephews, and neighbours and friends. Mary was a very dear cousin and my wish for her is to be reunited with her dear sister-in-law Finola who died just a few weeks prior to her. May you rest in peace Mary.

Sister Mary will be missed for her positive energy, her kindness and enthusiasm for life, connection and sport. Every conversation with her was meaningful and she showed how much she cared. RIP.

My sincere condolences to all the Barron family on Sr. Mary’s passing. She always told us the story that our dad drove her up north when she entered the order. When my mom, Peggy, was nearing the end of her life in April 2021, Sr Mary called and we had such a lovely chat and reminisced. Sr Mary, or Mary the nun, as we always called her, was one beautiful gentle soul. She is no doubt resting in peace.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Sr Mary Barron. I got to know Sr Mary, when my late OLA aunt was ill in Ardfoyle prior to her death in 2012. Sr Mary treated all my family circle with great kindness and understanding. We all have such lovely memories of her.

Sr.Mary was the head nun of the secondary school when I attended there.(Leaving Cert class 1971).
As well as her considerable talents and teaching skills, she was a great head nun - kind, fair, competent and always approachable.

Sister enters the eternal rest setting under the lord almighty, in the name of Joseph the joiner, Mary and the lord himself.
The rest setting is a setting which the lord provides through his holy setting.

Sister Mary was a true believer and servant of the holy setting, she had a sharp wit and great eye for good people, I recall I was fixing new skirting boards in the setting, sister said “you know Joseph is always looking for joiners” it was a great moment
