It is with great sadness that I heard about the passing of Sr. Mary Fallon. She served her Lord, the people of Zambia and beyond. She will be greatly missed. We virtually joined in the funeral mass. MHSRIP.
Deepest sympathy to the Religious Sisters of Charity and the Fallon family. We worked with Sr. Mary in Zambia and admired the work she did in Mamba with the school leavers. I was also engaged in education for youth and had similar projects for carpentry, bricklaying, tailoring and catering in the Southern Province. On behalf of the Holy Rosary Sisters, our sympathy to the Sisters of Charity and to the many Sisters with whom we worked in Zambia. Sr. Mary, you were an inspiration. May you rest in peace.

Heartfelt sympathies Catherine on the great loss of your beloved sister. I hope you are consoled at the fact that she's in Heaven, at peace & in the arms of all the family & friends who are there to greet her. Sympathies also to all Sr. Mary's nephews, nieces and extended families. I have known Sr. Mary all my life, firstly as Sr. Joseph de Sales & later Rev Mother Mary in her beloved Banada Abbey. She often visited us in our home & loved her biscuit & cup of black tea .. her little nose crinkled sipping the hot tea & as a child I could never understand why she wouldn't cool it with milk! We were sad to see her go to Zambia in the '70's but now know God had a bigger plan for her there. Her tireless work, setting up schools of typing, dressmaking, carpentry, raising funds & making life a better place for her new community in Mmamba went on for many years & she was so grateful when what she called 'The Magnificent 7' (7 men from her beloved Banada) travelled to Mmamba in 2008 to build a carpentry room for her students. Photos from Zambia through the years were of a simple life, but you could see the work that was being done & how happy she was doing it. I will be forever grateful that I knew you Sr. Mary. You were surely one of a kind who worked tirelessly for the good of others, but always did it in a quiet way never looking for any recognition. May you rest in eternal peace.
Heartfelt sympathy to Catherine, the Fallon family and The Sisters of Charity on the news of the death of Sr. Mary. Her love, generosity and kindness towards all she came into contact with in this world, will be her legacy and for which she will be fondly remembered. She was very special to all who knew and loved her and will be sadly missed. May her gentle soul rest in the peace of Heaven.

To Catherine and the wider Fallon Family,
We would like to express our deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved sister, Sr. Mary Fallon.
Mary was a good friend and a true inspiration. From her home in Palmerstown, she was part of a loving and caring family, and that same spirit of compassion radiated through everything she did. Her remarkable work in Mamba, Africa—dedicated to helping young girls and boys gain access to education so they could support themselves and their families—spoke volumes about the kind of person she was.
Even her holidays were spent learning new things and gathering resources to bring back to Mamba, always thinking of how she could do more to help with the schooling there. Her selflessness and drive made a lasting difference in many lives.
Our memories of Sr. Mary are filled with her kindness and warm heart. She had a way of making you feel truly appreciated for anything you did for her. In today’s world, we could do with more people like Sr. Mary—gentle souls who quietly yet powerfully change the world for the better. She will be deeply and sadly missed.
May she Rest in Peace.
With heartfelt condolences,
