Dear Nieces, nephews and extended family of Sr Pius.
I offer my deepest sympathy to all of you who grieve the loss of a dear aunt, relation and friend.
I too am grieving because I have lost a dear friend. Sr Pius, Sr Andrew Donohue and I together sailed to Pakistan, leaving Ireland on 3rd July 1953.Over the years we often shared our varied, wonderful and sometimes frightening memories of that experience of three weeks on the high seas. Yesterday I spent some time alone with Pius in the Funeral Home. She looked peaceful and at rest. Though my heart was breaking I was happy for her, knowing that her pain and sufferings were over and she was at peace with God. I could write unendingly about the great woman Pius was but just now I would like to second all that was said of her at her reception to the Church last night and at her funeral Mass today. She was a dedicated missionary and religious, a great woman and a most sincere, loyal and faithful friend. Let us pray for and support each other in our great loss. May Pius rest in eternal peace with the God she loved and served so well.

Along with the other sisters Sr Pius made an immeasurable contribution to the parish and the local community. The presence of the Presentation sisters is sorely missed. I am deeply saddened on the loss of Sr Pius. She was a great source of advice, prayer, encouragement and friendship during my time in both school and the seminary. I am forever grateful for her guidance and I will fondly remember our conversations.

Sr. Pius was our dear friend in Murree, Pakistan. She was so kind, welcoming and supportive of us Dominicans in Pakistan. I have been in touch with her via WhatsApp over this past year. Thanks to Marion Madden In Massachusetts, USA, we learned how ill she was and it helped to prepare us for her death.
