My sincere condolences to Aidan and extended family on the sad passing of Mercy. Her presence in Abbey House will be greatly missed. Although Mercy had become less mobile in recent months, her wonderful smile and the mischievous glint in her eyes were very much in abundance. She always asked how my Mam Gertie was and spoke fondly of her. I will miss sneaking in a copy of “The Irish Catholic” newspaper to her bedroom every Thursday morning before anyone else lay their eyes on it! (Our little secret). She was such a gentle lady and had a kindness like no other. We have truly lost a special member of the Loreto Community.
