I have fond memories of Sr. Nano when she was Principal of Bunscoil na Toirbhirte when Iwas a teacher there. I remember her as as a very forward looking Principal.Sincere sympathy to her family and the Presentation Community May her gentle soul rest in peace.

So sad to hear of Sr Nano's passing, I had the pleasure of being taught by her in 5th Class in Mitchelstown in the early 70's. What an inspiring teacher she was, full of life and in that year she encouraged us to participate in 'Follow the Fleet' which we subsequently won outright, much to her delight and ours.
What a pleasure it was to have known her, may her gentle soul rest in peace. May I offer my sincere sympathy to her brother, sister, Presentation community, family and friends on your loss.

I offer my sincere sympathy to Maura and Fr. Sean and extended family and to the Presentation Sisters on the passing of Sr. Nano. I was one of the lucky students to have been taught English by Sr. Nano in 3rd, 5th and 6th year in Presentation Secondary Top, Mitchelstown. Sr. Nano was a newly-trained teacher who passed on her love and appreciation for the language. She was totally dedicated to us. I owe her deep gratitude for her influence on my life. May she now enjoy the peace and happiness of Heaven forever.

My sympathy to all Sr Nano's family. My fondest memories of Primary School in Mitchelstown are of 5th class and doing Follow the Fleet. She was passionate about education in the broadest sense of the word and so much that I learned that year has stayed with me all these years later. She was a wonderful teacher and guide and ahead of her time in so mamyways. May she rest in peace.

Sister Nano taught me in the late 80's, early 90's. The values she gently instilled remain with me today. I never forgot her. Rest in Peace Sr. Nano.

I have such fond memories of Sr. Nano. She taught me in Fifth Class and it was a magical year when we participated in Irish Shipping's “Follow the Fleet”. We won the All-Ireland, a feat we treasured. Nine years later when she was Principal of Bunscoil na Toirbhirte, she made a leap of faith and employed me, a position I cherished. I spent my entire teaching career in the school she had loved and shaped. Deepest sympathy to her family, Presentation community and friends. Ní bheidh a leithéad ann arís.
