So sorry to learn of Sister Peggie’s passing. I first met Sister Peggy when I started working at St Mary’s in Sacramento. I was a first year teacher teaching second grade which meant I was to prepare my class to make their First Holy Communion. I couldn’t have done it without Sister’s guidance and encouragement. Sister Peggy just seemed to float with such grace as she walked. She is indeed an angel and a saint. It was my privilege to have known and work with her.
What a beautiful teacher & person may she rest peacefully, one of life's ladies
Beautiful Sr. Peg, I was thinking of you tonight and googled your name. Just came across your death notice. The world has lost an Angel, as have I. How blessed my family has been to know and love you. We met at St. Mary’s,in Sacramento,as my son started CCD. You were the kindness, sweetest, gentle faith filled soul I have ever met. I wound up,volunteering as your secretary in CCD.. the beginning of decades of mutual Love and Appreciation..Even when you moved back to Ireland, we stayed in touch, you called, Always it seemed when I needed those tender words of comfort and encouragement..I always told you were certainly were an Angel.. You have certainly been an gift to our life’s. Thank you for being such a beautiful example of God’s Best. You gave unconditional Love, and spread Faith So freely. You shall not be forgotten. I hope you say hello to my parents. I will continue to think of you, love you and thank you,for the goodness you gave us All. Love you Forever,Sr. Peg, my sympathy to your Family, and your community of Sister’s. We shall meet again. May God reward you for your Goodness as only He can. Cathie Carvalho,Sacramento,Ca
I had the pleasure of meeting Sr. Peggy quite recently on my nursing placement and she was an absolute joy. So thankful to have met her! It seems like she made a huge impact on everyone she met, even in her final chapter. I had hoped to see her again and read a few more poems with her however I am glad she is at peace and reunited with her sisters now, whom she spoke so fondly of. My condolences to all who knew the lovely Sr. Peggy.
So sad to hear of Peggys death may she rest in peace. She was such an amazing teacher, she loved Children and we have lost a treasure.

While we are happy to know that Sr.Peggy has, very peacefully, been taken to join her sisters in Heaven, we offer our sincere condolences to her nieces and nephews, their families, and the sisters of the Presentation Convent in Roxbor on losing lovely, kind and spiritual Sr. Peggy - may her gentle soul rest in the peace of the Lord. Sr.Peggy and Sr. Claire are very fondly remembered in Rosslare, where they loved to visit their sister -our friend Vera. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sisters and family of Sr. Peggy. My heartfelt sympathy to you all at the laying to rest of Peggy. I will always remember my visits to see Clare and Peggy when on holiday. May God comfort you and grant you many blessings.
I was a 6-year old in 1966 when my Mother brought myself and my three sisters to live in Ireland from the United States as my father was serving in Vietnam. My first experience with school was Queen of Peace and Sister Peggy took me under her wing. She knew I was in a foreign country and also had no idea of the protocol involved with school. She and I had wonderful conversations of what the world looked like from an airplane high in the sky and she introduced me to the Blessed Mother and to my Catholic faith. I am so blessed that I was able to travel with her between the United States and Ireland many years ago and that every time I was in Limerick, I had the chance to take her and Sister Clare to our favorite pub for dinners. I don't think I've ever had such an incredible friendship over the span of 56 years with anyone. She was such a beautiful woman and I could tell her anything and know I would not be judged. I will miss her everyday for the rest of my life. I am so happy though that she is with Clare and her sisters and parents in a peaceful place.
Thinking of you all and praying for you at this sad time. Remembering Sr. Peggy now with Claire and united in their eternal home.
My prayers are with the Sisters in Limerick and Sr. Peggy’s family as we all say goodbye to a kind and gentle lady. I have great memories of Peggy’s time in California and her great spirit of welcome when we visited her. We were blessed to visit her in the hospital some weeks ago and just say “goodbye and thanks”.
Prayers and sincere sympathy to all Sr. Peggy's family and the Presentation Sisters. RIP
