Sr Phil had a great sense of humor, diligent and dedicated worker, and a lovely work colleague. Sr Phil had great respect for everyone. She had a twinkle in her eye and shared her love of knitting.

Farewell Sr Phil you have ran the race of life and overcome all the obstacles on the way i worked in Day Care with phil in P H B a highly intelligant and caring lady who shared her experiences of moving from Scotland England Africa and back to Portuncula i visited phil regularly in the convent intil Covid kept us apart somewhat i have a !ovely photo of phil and noreen at het 50th not to mention her 70 th year in the convent my deepest sympathy to the Kelly and Hand families also the F M D M sisters may her gentle soul rest on peace

I have very fond memories of Philomena (then Sr. Charles) since my Portiuncula student nursing days in the mid 1970s. A highly intelligent and gifted woman who demonstrated great kindness, gentleness, understanding and empathy. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal light and peace with loved gone before her. Grant Sr Phil Eternal Reward and May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

On my last visit to Aunt Phil I was struck in one of those moments of silence, that I would never encounter a person that was more content and happy with her being. She radiated such an aura of joy and love.
She was a true Franciscan, full of humility, she saw the love of God in everybody and everything and had that strain of mischief that made Phil, Phil.

May your soul rest in the peace it so richly deserves.

Aunt Phil had a great run at life

Most importantly she had a full life and a very happy life

She had no regrets and had contentment - that’s a rare find today

My first and most wonderful encounter with her was when I invited her to celebrate ( my upcoming wedding to her nephew ) over afternoon tea at the Shelbourne hotel in Dublin

Many years ago now

She epitomised kindness , patience , forgiveness’ , good humour and an indomitable spirit .
