I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Sr. Rosemary when I attended Mount Carmel Secondary School (KI) from 1972-1977. She was a lady, but no pushover when it came to laying down the law for us girls. She always loved hearing from and seeing her past students. It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Sr. Rosemary. My sincere sympathy to the Mc Gowan family and her religious Sisters of Charity Community at their great loss. Very sorry to hear about Sister Rosemary's passing. She was a lovely, kind and gentle person. She was school principal when I attended school in Kings Inn Street school and was always kind and fair to everyone. She will be missed.

Sister Rosemary was a special person in my life.

As school principal she instilled a love of learning, nurtured our faith and encouraged us to be confident young women.

Latterly, we were lucky meet her at an occasional lunch or reunion, when a completely different friendship was formed. For all of this I am truly grateful.
