Sincere condolences to Sr Stan's Community, colleagues and family. I had the good fortune to participate on a working group initiated by Sr Stan to explore setting up an Irish rural network that could participate in the fledgling European Rural Network. Irish Rural Link was established. I was its founding chairperson and Mary Owens was secretary. A lesser known achievement of Sr Stan, that got the job done with humour and fun. May her gentle soul Rest in Peace.
Sharing my condolences to Sr. Stan’s family, to Sr. Síle, to Stan’s community and to those who loved her. I had the privilege, like so many more, to be a little part of Stan’s big journey through a life lived with huge purpose and grace. Focus Ireland was a special place for me and my friends and colleagues: there is a group of us who still meet regularly to honour the special experience and friendships forged there. Thank you Stan for your kindness to me and mine, and for the vision for a society that offers kindness to all.

Deepest condolences to all the family, friends and many colleagues on the sad loss of Sister Stan. She will be greatly missed and long remembered for her immense contribution to social justice in Irish society. She was a real powerhouse! It was a privilege to have known Stan and to have campaigned with her over many years on issues that she championed in her work with the Immigrant Council of Ireland. She leaves an incredible legacy of course through her important work on housing provision with Focus Ireland, and her powerful advocacy on behalf of those without homes. Thinking of all who knew her at this sad time. With sincere sympathies and very best wishes, Ivana.

Sr. Stan, you've left us but your spirit and presence will remain etched deeply in our hearts and minds. Your memory will inpire those who worked with you across many social justice initiatives but more importantly, your memory will be the face of comfort for the thousands to whom we you brought hope, light and encouragement. You lifted many out of the abyss of fear and darkness to places of light and possibility of new beginnings. Your empathetic compassion lightiled ways for the many who needed a star to follow. You were that forever star and we thank God that your gospel based vision, faith and prayer deep within your heart radiated the loving kindness of God since your first moment as a Religious Sister of Charity. Your unwavering commitment to your Order's Charism and your own spiritual journey are legacies that will remain etched in our collective, conscious minds. From your heavenly seat look upon all who desire to fulfill the work you began many decades sgo. Rest in Peace, Sr. Stan
Sr. Stan stepped up to offer help to an activist group I was involved with many years ago, when we took a stand against the Iraq War. She provided accommodation to a member of the group from abroad who needed somewhere to stay while on bail. Her kindness on that occasion to a group that was under pressure, often dealing with chaotic circumstances, while she was already helping the needy on a daily basis, struck me as extraordinary.
I offer my deepest condolences to those who worked with Sr. Stan closely. Her example will resound for a long time to come. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
